This ride gets bigger and better. We can’t thank the good people at Inland Empire Bicycle Alliance (IEBA) enough for their continued awesomeness of delivering one hell of a gravel ride in Southern California.
The Strada Rossa is a mixed multi surface ride that accommodates the masses. From the professional athlete to your local weekend warrior. It has challenges for everybody and that’s why we like it. So if you’re training and need something challenging the 64 and 90 mile routes will test you in every way. While the 37 mile route can satisfy when the local trail doesn't sound too appealing. And if you just want to take the weekend off from pedaling, meet new people, and help bicycle advocacy the IEBA team can certainly use the help with setup and organization. So if you missed it, plan ahead for next year or get involved.
Here's a word to the wise though, as a newbie cyclist, signing up for any ride can cause some anxiety. But that’s not the case here because the ride is tailored to you. You decide what bike to ride, what you want to wear, and when you’ve had enough. You can turn around and find your way back to the party when those legs of yours decide they have other plans. There’s no pressure to finish as this ride is all about having an adventure on two wheels. That’s why we like it. For anyone having thoughts about trying it next year, do yourself a favor and sign up to support a great group helping cyclists every day, you won’t regret it.
